I spoke with a young woman a dozen years ago who through tears told me that she didn't know what to do with her life.  She felt that she should have it all figured out at the age of 18.

I was talking with another man who is on what seems his 15th career, has 3 degrees and has move 11 times in the last 12 years.

The man I spoke is happy and making a real contribution at each stop. 

You cannot know at 18 what will work for you for the next 50 years.  If you looked back fifty years from right now you would be at 1975.  Half of the careers you would be advised to go in to don't exist and few of the degrees available would be totally useless.

What you need to do is do an inventory of what you are inclined to do and move in that direction.  Just move in that direction.  Take that step.  Commit to it.  Then as you go adjust.  Stay curious and keep the mind of someone who is intent of using their abilities to the advancement of the world while they honor God.
